My name is Risë Windell (Risë rhymes with Lisa). I’m a photographer. I’ve had an interest in photography from an early age, but it wasn’t until I got my new puppy, Layla, in 2011 that I took the leap and purchased my first digital single lens reflex (dSLR) camera. I just had to be able to capture the special looks and antics of my beautiful Labrador Retriever. And capture her, I did that first year! I took more than 50,000 photos, with her in the bulk of them, as well as the scenery and wildlife around Chambers Bay, near our home in University Place, Washington.
Fast-forward to today, and I’m still shooting 50,000 pictures per year. It never gets old for me. I’ve found my passion. I especially love to capture people with their pets — indoors, outdoors, action shots or portraits. My goal is to create keepsake photos for your loved ones that will be cherished for many years to come.
In March of 2019, I realized my dream and opened a new studio in Lakewood, WA. It’s huge and offers endless backdrop design possibilities. Let me know if you’d like a tour of our studio.
